Our Initiatives

Jagriti is community-facing, connecting children and adults through a common medium and space.

Jagriti’s education and training wing brings together teachers and performers to share their knowledge through an integrated framework with children and adults from disparate socio-economic backgrounds. Jagriti partners with individuals and institutions locally and internationally, to bring Drama into everyday living.

The Drishya Foundation
Jagriti currently works with students of the Drishya Foundation, three learning centres for the urban poor, comprising 86 children from 7 communities. The Drishya Kalika Kendras were initiated for child drop-outs from government schools, to create a hands-on, relevant, Arts and ecology-based curriculum, to empower these children to work towards sustainability of their spaces and livelihoods.
