Jo Peechhe Rah Jaate Hain is a collage of two plays with the same theme.
The first play is about the trials and tribulations faced by a martyr’s family. Major Sandeep sacrifices his life fighting for the country. People are filled with awe for his extreme valour and supreme sacrifice. The media, NGOs and other organisations jump on the bandwagon to honour the family, often with the motive of getting a name, fame and money for the honouring organisations.
The hard hitting play unfolds the anguish and agony of the family left behind, and makes you sit up and take notice of the pretences some sections of society have for the family.
The second play, Janaksuta Urmila is a heart rending saga of Urmila left behind by Lakshman, and how she deals with the life of loneliness and tearing pangs of separation.
