Everybody
Everybody
What if Death came knocking... and you weren’t ready?
Step into the quirky, thought-provoking world of Everybody, a fresh and audacious adaptation of the 15th-century morality play Everyman. Written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Brandon Jacobs Jenkins, this bold theatrical journey dives into life's ultimate question: What will you hold onto when it’s time to let go?
In this captivating production, the students of the Jagriti Theatre Arts Program bring Everybody to life. Guided (or dragged) by the ever-persistent Death, the protagonist Everybody embarks on a surreal quest to reckon with her mortality. Along the way, she pleads with Friendship, Stuff, Kinship, and others to join her—but as the clock ticks, Everybody discovers that few companions will walk the final path with her.
Filled with humor, raw emotion, and a touch of absurdity, this play is a rollercoaster of existential reflections and unexpected revelations.
