Cast Bios:

Eleanor Dillon-Reams

This is Eleanor’s 2nd year with the Handlebards, prior to which she won The Stage’s award for Acting Excellence with Hell Bent Theatre’s sell-out show UKIP THE MUSICAL. Her biggest Shakespearean challenge (other than The Handlebards!) was a solo-show production of HENRY V, complete with full broadsword fighting. She was the first woman to perform it, after it debuted with a male actor in 1992. Eleanor graduated from East15 Acting School in 2012 with a first class degree, after being nominated for the BBC Radio Cariton Hobbs Award.

Jessica Hern

Jessica’s first taste of Shakespeare was at the age of 8, cast as Anne in RICHARD III where she was given the task of ‘playing dead’. She decided it would be more entertaining to roll off stage mid-performance than it would be to play a corpse. Naturally, her acting career took off. She went on to study at the Guildford School of Acting gaining a First Class Degree.

Charlotte Driessler

Charlotte spent her school days playing trees and men, so is thrilled to be returning to a variety of these classic roles with the Handlebards. Merely a keen Boris biker, she can't wait to join the steely-thighed ladies for the international leg of the tour.

Charlotte trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, who she represented at Shakespeare's Globe during the Sam Wanamaker Festival 2016.

Credits include: MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (BBC Radio 3), SURROUNDED 2.0 (TedEx Glasgow), 4:48 PSYCHOSIS (Fourth Monkey).

New work development includes: DISINTEGRATION LOOPS (The North Wall, Oxford), THE MAN IN THE GREEN BOOTS (Pit Theatre, Barbican), THE GREENZONE (McLelland Arts Festival), and regularly collaborates with The Human Zoo Theatre Company.

Lucy Green

Lucy is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She has just finished performing in a touring production of ROMEO & JULIET in Germany, France and Japan. This is her first time with The Handlebards and she is absolutely thrilled to be part of the troupe.
