Ilhaam
Ilhaam
The play is illustrated through the journey of a middle class banker. He begins to dissociate with his everyday life, and his internal world begins creating newer associations. Therein begins the battle between the world outside and his world inside.
Ilhaam is an interrogation of alienation. It represents the journey of an individual, who struggles around his desire and his course of enlightenment. The play tosses between imagination, realisation, and non-acceptance, and remains at par, a story of every individual sitting in the audience. The play draws references from some great philosophers like Friedrich Nietzsche, Raman Maharshi, Ramkrishna Pramhansa etc. and a perfect combination of beautiful writing by Manav Kaul, original songs by Deevas Gupta and original music by Jataveda Banerjee makes this play a beautiful personal experience.
