The Earthquake
Mathew and Sameer meet every week. They share an apple. They speak. They feel a little less lonely. Someone leaves. They do this again. And again. Mathew goes on a boat ride. Sameer stays in a bubble. There is silence. And again. Mathew and Sameer are friends...
This is a piece about two people. What happens when we finally face our truth? Maybe we hear a strange noise...
A note from the playwrights:
Two young artists from India and Germany meet on a farm in Bengaluru as part of an exchange program. They get to know each other and realise that cultural differences are just one aspect of human connection. They come together to develop something together. But what?
The idea for this collaboration started with a conversation about loneliness. Above all, about how loneliness is a common factor for young people in all countries. From loneliness to the intricacies of human relationships, two people began an intensive writing process to explore the many facets of human connection.
The Earthquake (Original Title: “Bh?mikampa – Das Erdbeben”) received the Internationaler Kulturprojekte Grant 2023 from the Landeshauptstadt München Kulturreferat (City of Munich).

Ionesco's Rhinoceros
A hilarious take on Eugene Ionesco’s classic anti-fascist play, Theatre Lab (Youth) pulls out all the stops with physical theatre, chorus and clown to delve into their most pressing issue today - the peer pressure and herd mentality faced by teenagers.
“Noone believed it
But the herd was growing…
Multiplying
Maskafying
Glorifying
Speechifying
Horrifying
Classifying
Disqualifying
Objectifying
Nothing more than
Brute/ Fear/ Hide/ Horn”
This play is for everyone…children and adult, alike. It is an important script in the world of theatre. It brought Theatre of the Absurd into the public eye and is as relevant today as when it premiered at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus on November 1, 1959.
In fact, some would say, it is even more so. It is a perennially relevant play.
If you’ve never watched Ionesco’s Rhinoceros on stage…do not miss what these young people do with it!

TURNAROUND - A Sassy Corporate Satire
TURNAROUND is a play set in the white-collar corporate world, a mysterious and intrigue-ridden space that is not fully understood. The play traverses the thought processes and actions of a senior and well-intended AI expert engineer, who expects to be dealt with fairly and objectively, even if he refuses to suckup to the most senior leadership of the company.
The organization's response is as canny as it is funny - and the play shines the spotlight on the orchestrated actions of leaders across the globe to drive to an outcome; underscoring the utterly duplicitous conduct in so-called value(s)-driven large corporates.
