The Odissi dance drama Siya Ram… The Eternal Saga brings to life the timeless epic of the Ramayana through a mesmerizing blend of movement, music, and storytelling. Opening with Sita’s captivity in Ashoka Vatika, the narrative unfolds in exquisitely choreographed sequences that capture the deep love, painful separation, and eventual reunion of Rama and Sita. The performance masterfully weaves together themes of love, faith, valor, and the ultimate triumph of good over evil, portraying pivotal moments such as Sita’s swayamvara, her abduction by Ravana, and the epic battle that leads to her rescue.

Enriched with verses from Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayana and profound Sanskrit contributions by Ashtavadhani Shri Ganesh Bhat Koppalatota, the production also features evocative Odia lyrics penned by poet Shri Kedar Mishra. The soul-stirring music, composed by Shri Rupak Kumar Parida, is complemented by rhythm compositions from Guru Dhaneswar Swain.

The dance direction and choreography are helmed by Madhulita Mohapatra, a recipient of the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar from the Central Sangeet Natak Akademi. A celebrated Odissi exponent and visionary choreographer, she is widely acclaimed for her inventive approach to storytelling, intricate movement vocabulary, and the ability to create visually compelling stage narratives.
